Andrew has been active at the interface between industry and legislators for over twenty years, via PITCOM (the Parliamentary IT Committee) and the e-Crime, Transformational Government, Data Sharing and Personal Identity Groups of EURIM, the Information Society Alliance.

He is a regular participant in and contributor to the public meetings of the All-Party Groups on Communications and Information Technology, the Internet and Parliament conferences and the round of meetings to formulate the UK position in the Internet Governance Forum.

He has given evidence to Parliamentary Select Committees, written briefing papers for Parliamentarians, participated in international forums and has been involved in Parliamentary Technology Assessment, youth political development and trying to found a Science Park in central Europe.

He is also a Director & Governor of The Democratic Society (an NGO promoting democratic re-engagement in the UK).
