2009 - 2010
- Development of a distributed system of real-time network replicators for audio recordings of the proceedings of the Chambers and Committees of the Houses of the Oireachtas in Dublin, comprising 45 systems and 15 networks. The new system has dramatically reduced loading on the servers and is saving between 30,000 and 50,000 Euros per annum as well as providing new management functionality.
- Database migration and content conversion for the pan-African social justice portal Pambazuka, involving the conversion and cleansing of over 60,000 articles and several thousand images created over a ten year period and the creation of migration databases in preparation for the development of a new portal.

- Development of private patient billing system for a medical practice in Ireland.

2003 – 2004: Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Strasbourg (PACE/APCE).
- Design and implementation of integrated information system (databases, archive, workflow, document authoring and publishing – web and print) for the secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Strasbourg to support their plenary sessions.
- This included rationalising and merging several existing databases, converting them to Unicode and web-enabling them, together with the migration and cleansing of legacy data created over the past fifty years.

- Design and implementation of a multilingual Debate Reporting System to provide electronic production of the summary and verbatim reports for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, integrating with legacy systems.
1993 – 1994: House of Commons
- Design and implementation of new web server with fully automatic content management for the publication of Hansard on the UK Parliamentary intranet.
- This system, which predated the emergence of Apache, Mosaic and Netscape (it used NCSA and Cello), was the first operational web server in the UK Parliament.

- Provision of specialist technical advice on secure automatic communications systems to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

- Consultancy and implementation work on financial tracking systems, databases, email gateways, tele-working and international communications to the Department of Trade and Industry Export Data Branch and FCO/DTI Joint Directorate.
1992: The Royal Household (Buckingham Palace)
- Network audit for the correspondence and press offices of Buckingham Palace and the Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood, St. James’s Palace.
1992: Department of Health Private Office (Minister's Office)
- Consultancy work for the Private Office to identify opportunities for electronic data interchange with the UK Parliament to support the legislative process – Government Bill Tracking, Parliamentary Question handling, delegated (secondary) legislation, etc. – and the work of Ministers.
1990 – 1993: House of Commons
- Design, implementation and project management of a high-availability networked system for the electronic production of Hansard for the House of Commons.
- This was the first networked computer system in the UK Parliament and achieved the strategic goal of saving £500,000 per annum in print production costs so allowing the price of Hansard to be cut by a third. The system was completed on-time and under-budget and remained in use for almost ten years without a single failure.
